Samsung Galaxy Unpacked concluded a week ago and the internet has already started buzzing about the Galaxy S24 series. According to a report by SamMobile, the Galaxy S24+ and the Galaxy S24 Ultra will offer bigger battery capacity than the Galaxy S23 series, which launched in India earlier this year. The South Korean tech giant will likely announce its next flagship series in January or February 2024.
As per the Dekra certificates, spotted via tipster Ice Universe, the Galaxy S24+ will pack a 4755mAh battery whereas the Galaxy S24 Ultra will offer a 4855mAh battery capacity. The Dekra battery certificates reveal model numbers EB-BS926ABY and EB-BS928ABY, which means that the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra will carry model numbers SM-S926 and SM-S928, respectively.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra packs a 4855mAh battery capacity as the Galaxy S24 Ultra. While the company gave its 2023 flagship a 5000mAh typical battery, which could mean the company will do the same for the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
However, the Dekra certifications do not reveal other details about the Galaxy S24+ and the Galaxy S24 Ultra. At the moment, it remains unknown whether Samsung will increase the charging speed of the phones next year. The vanilla Galaxy S23 supports 25W charging, while the Galaxy S23+ and the Galaxy S23 Ultra go up to 45W. However, it is advised to take this rumour with a pinch of salt.
Meanwhile, there have been rumours that Samsung may bring back its Exynos chipsets for the upcoming Galaxy S24 series and the Galaxy S23 FE.
