And this year, the new season promises ‘new excitement’ as the eponymous main character, played by Golden Globe winner Tom Hiddleston, faces an impending war.
Thrust into a new set of adventures with the Time Variance Authority (TVA), Loki suffers from a bout of ‘time slipping’ in the first official trailer of the second season.
Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan makes his MCU debut as the TVA archivist Ouroboros who has no remedy for Loki’s glitching through time.
‘If what I saw is true, there’s nothing that stands between this world and utter destruction,’ Loki ominously warns. ‘War is on its way.’
The 42-year-old Englishman’s character refers to the consequences of the first season finale where his variant-turned-love interest Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) stabbed antagonist He Who Remains played by embattled star Jonathan Majors.
When Loki wondered how one can choose who lives and who dies, the 33-year-old’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania character emerged from the shadows to respond: ‘Make the hard choice.’
