The jobs that will survive the AI revolution tipped to cull 300million posts across the globe

Jobs that are withstanding the AI revolution tipped to cull 300million posts across the globe have been revealed.

Investment bank Goldman Sachs is predicting that AI could replace 300million full-time jobs, like phone lines that could be answered by a robot rather than a human customer service worker.

Graphic designers, computer programmers, writers and teachers could also their jobs at least partially being one by AI software as around 50 per cent of Britons think AI will impact their jobs somehow in the next five years, according to a study by PwC.

Jobsite Adzuna has ranked the best-paying jobs that are least endangered by the AI revolution, drawing on research from OpenAI and the University of Pensylvania, the Telegraph reports.

The top ranks are occupied by specialist medical professionals like oncologists, orthodontists and paediatricians, with salaries exceeding £100,000 a year.

Oncologists can even earn more than £200,000 according to advertised salaries in June compared to £194,510 for the same month last year.

While most high-paying roles have seen an increase in salaries, some have dipped compared to last year.

Orthodontist vacancies were advertised for 15 per cent less pay than last year, with salaries of about £106,485 this year.

Meanwhile, some salaries skyrocketed. Midwife jobs were advertised for a 20 per cent higher salary than last year. This is due to many vacancies opening up after an exodus of midwives during the pandemic.

While judge positions are not listed on job sites, they can expect to earn more than £100,000 a year.

Other jobs seemingly safe of the AI revolution are life coaches, personal trainers and influencers, as people would likely be reluctant to accept jobs involving ‘human stories or motivation, according to Adzuna.

Nevertheless, salaries for personal trainers fell by 16.5 per cent from £48,575 on average to £40,560.

Many manual labour jobs were also listed on Adzuna’s safe jobs list and especially Paving, Surfacing, and Tamping Equipment Operator with an average advertised salary of £85,800 ranked highly.

While ethical hackers – those who test companies’ online security – were listed within the safe jobs paying the highest salary, their pay dropped dramatically and they only earn about half of what they earned last year.

Last year the vacancies were advertised for £89,888 a year and now they are only advertised for £41,417.

Tech jobs like ethical hackers could be heavily impacted by AI in the future, Adzuna warned.
