Earlier this month, WhatsApp introduced a redesigned keyboard with an emoji bar for beta testers. The Meta-owned platform has now started rolling out the feature for Android users.
With the introduction of this new feature, users now have the ability to scroll the keyboard upwards, allowing users to get a wider view. Furthermore, the tabs for accessing the GIF, sticker, and avatar sections have been repositioned higher up for easier accessibility. Additionally, certain beta testers may explore a fresh arrangement of the media sharing and emoji keyboard buttons as part of the experimentation process.
In order to use the feature Android users will have to update WhatsApp to the latest version.
What is the ‘message pin duration’ feature
WhatsApp is currently developing a new feature known as “message pin duration” to enhance user experience. This upcoming feature will provide users with the ability to set a specific duration for their pinned messages to remain active, offering them greater control during conversations. Users will have the flexibility to choose a time frame for their pinned message, such as 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days, based on their preferences. It’s important to note that users will still have the freedom to unpin a message at any time, even before the selected duration expires. This added functionality empowers users with increased flexibility and control over their pinned messages.
