A notorious celeb chaser who was allegedly involved in an ugly opening night clash with entertainer Rhonda Burchmore bizarrely claims he was married to beloved Melbourne newsreader Peter Hitchener.
Kodei James Mulcahy, 22, of Werribee, is scheduled to appear before the Werribee Magistrates Court on 26 unrelated charges of stalking and assault next month.
Daily Mail Australia can reveal Mulcahy has been chasing celebrities since he was a child.
As a teen he was embroiled in a scandal involving the theft of Real Housewives Of Melbourne star Gamble Breaux’s $25,000 Logies dress.

A 32-year old Manor Lake’s man known to Mulcahy was eventually charged over the crime.
Daily Mail Australia can reveal Burchmore has reported Mulcahy to police after a run-in with him last Thursday night at Melbourne’s Arts Centre.
Burchmore had been attending the premiere of 9 To 5 The Musical with her husband when Mulcahy allegedly approached her outside the venue.
Daily Mail Australia has been told Mulcahy left with his tail between his legs after Burchmore told him to leave her alone.
Mulcahy maintains that he had been friends with the theatre star until recently.
He hit Instagram, where he has a following of just 616 people, to allege Burchmore was the aggressor.

He further took aim at a Herald Sun reporter, who had been talking to Burchmore when he approached.
‘There is the full story that you stood there and watched and allowed someone to assault someone,’ he claimed via social media.
Mulcahy followed up on Tuesday night in an extraordinary rant that tagged Burchmore’s own daughter – journalist Lexie Jeuniewic.
Burchmore, who will appear next month in the Tony Award winning Broadway production of Hairspray, told Daily Mail Australia she had already reported Mulcahy to Victoria Police about the ugly confrontation.
‘I’m deeply upset about this matter and have made a police report on Sunday. I’ve left the matter in their hands now and hopefully this will stop this absolute psychopath,’ she said.
Channel Nine insiders have told Daily Mail Australia that Mulcahy’s claims about Hitchener are completely false.
‘They’re a figment of his imagination,’ the source said.
In the now deleted post, Mulcahy again claimed he and the news anchor had been married.
‘Just an update me and Peter have been married and divorced,’ he stated.
Mulcahy has claimed for months that he had been married to Hitchener, who came out as gay in 2008.

The anchor man has been candid about his sexuality in recent years, telling the Herald Sun in 2018 he was not opposed to settling down one day.
‘It could happen. I’m just pottering along. My partner has been my work. I’m not sure if that’s to make up for things that aren’t so busy in my life!’ he said.
Earlier this year, Mulcahy, who goes by the handle Kodei Hitchener on Instagram, shared an image of Hitchener’s Wikipedia page, which at the time had been edited to state Hitchener had married him on April 18, 2019.
It was the same day one of Melbourne’s most notorious wife killers – Borce Ristevski – was sentenced to nine years behind bars, which Hitchener covered on television that very night.
‘The pair were spotted at multiple events around Melbourne before officially announced they were married,’ the Wikipedia entry stated about their supposed relationship.

Word of the bogus marriage had been emailed to newsrooms across the country on April 20 this year where a tipster referring to himself as Jack Apple claimed Mulcahy could be photographed at a comedy gig.
Mulcahy has shared at least three images of himself alongside Hitchener: two during tours of the studio and another that appears to have been snapped outside Her Majesty’s Theatre in Melbourne during a group shot that crops Hitchener’s body in half.
His deleted Instagram post again claimed that he had been mates with Burchmore for years.
‘I have been friends with Rhonda for over 5 years now 2 weeks ago she blocked me only on Instagram because I put up a birthday message for her sister who sadly past (sic) away in 2015,’ he wrote.
Mulcahy doubled down on his Insta claims in a 20 minute video posted on Wednesday – much of which Daily Mail Australia cannot report due to legal reasons.

Mulcahy, who ran for a spot on Wyndham Council in 2020, told Daily Mail Australia he could not speak about his supposed marriage to Hitchener after making a deal with Channel Nine not to.
‘I maintain what I post on my Instagram,’ he said.
Mulcahy said he was unaware of his pending matters listed at the Werribee Magistrates’ Court next month.
‘I have no knowledge about that,’ he said.
Mulcahy dismissed suggestions he was a celebrity pest.
‘If celebrities are scared of me and I’m such a stalker, why are people contacting me to help them with their social media pages?’ he said.
‘I have constant contact with a lot of celebrities. I don’t go along and stalk them. I’m invited to shows exactly like them.’
Mulcahy said he had no involvement in the theft of Gamble Breaux’s Logies dress.
‘I wasn’t involved in it. The Housewives got together and said that because I wanted to purchase it, but there was no evidence and I wasn’t charged or anything and I was not taken to court for it,’ he said.
Mulcahy insisted he had reported Burchmore to police over his version of last Thursday’s incident.
