Sydney Roosters star Brandon Smith was taken to hospital following the Tricolours’ gritty 14-0 win over the Warriors at Auckland’s Mt Smart Stadium on Sunday, NRL.com reports.
Smith was placed in a neck brace and put on a stretcher in the Roosters’ rooms after the game as he was prepared to be transported to hospital.
The Kiwi international sent a scare through the Roosters camp after he left the field late in the second half for a head injury assessment.

The Roosters told NRL.com the procedure was precautionary after Smith suffered neck pain following the HIA.
Roosters centre Paul Momirovski also came from the field with his arm placed in a makeshift jersey sling after suffering a suspected shoulder injury.
The action looked innocuous as Momirovski made a regulation tackle, however the 26-year-old immediately showed signs of distress.

The game was stopped after the subsequent tackle for a Warriors knock-on, allowing Momirovski to be helped from the field by a trainer.
Speaking post-match, Roosters coach Trent Robinson said Momirovski would undergo scans to determine the severity of the damage.
