Paul Gallen has put aside his great friendship with Canberra coach Ricky Stuart to slam the Raiders’ performance against the Panthers last night as “soft”.
Gallen was coached by Stuart at the Sharks and in his time with the New South Wales State of Origin squad, but he didn’t hold back as he weighed in on the Raiders’ 53-12 thumping at the hands of the Panthers in Canberra.
“One thing I’ve never said about a Ricky Stuart-coached side (is it) was soft, and they were soft that second half,” Gallen said on 2GB’s The Continuous Call Team.
“Off the kick-off, (Penrith) wingers were virtually making half breaks and forwards were getting past the 20-metre line every single play.
“(The Raiders) were really, really ordinary.”
