Danniella Westbrook looked elegant on Thursday evening as she attended the London Lifestyle Awards, held at the Landmark Hotel. 

The actress, 48, wowed in a shimmering gown with a daring thigh-high split on the red carpet after revealing she is ‘happy to be alive’ amid ongoing battle with drug addiction.

She elevated her height in a pair of chic pink heels and accessorised with dainty silver jewellery.

The former EastEnders star opted for a glamorous makeup look with a nude lip, while wearing her blonde locks in a blown out style. 

The Awards celebrate the best that London has to offer across beauty, restaurants and bars, theatre and live entertainment and more.

The star-studded ceremony includes dinner, the award presentations and performances by pop singer and X Factor winner Ben Haenow and Broadway and West End star Marisha Wallace.

The outing comes after Danniella revealed she is ‘happy to be alive’ and in a very good place amid her ongoing battle with drug addiction.

‘I’m looking forward to being a nanny, I’m just so happy with this chapter that I’m in. And I think I just needed to get there myself, but it was just learning to like me a little bit.

The actress’ battle with drugs has been well-publicised, and she famously had her nose reconstructed after her septum collapsed from excessive cocaine use in 2002.

At the height of her use it was reported she would take up to five grams of cocaine a day, blowing close to £250,000 on the drug.

The star has since embarked on multiple rehab stints in order to battle her demons – and revealed she was finally clean in June last year, after attending a clinic in Mijas, Spain.

Danniella added: I’m working through lots of stuff still, but putting the drugs down was hard, but keeping the ego down too

‘I go to loads of meeting, I have a sponsor and the 12 step process. I check in every day.’
