Below Deck Down Under: Bosun Jamie on current relationship with Captain Jason

Below Deck Down Under’s Bosun Jamie Sayed butted heads with Captain Jason Chambers on this season of the yachting series.

But since filming wrapped, Jamie says that he and Jason’s relationship is in a much better place.

‘So, after the season, we stayed in touch, and we were actually in touch quite a bit, to be honest, especially leading up to the premiere of the first episode,’ he told Bravo’s Daily Dish.

‘And, you know, I would sort of hear from him on a weekly basis. So, yeah, no, that was all good after the fact,’ he added.

Jamie and Jason had plenty of tension throughout the season, especially when it came to deckhand Benny Crawley.

‘Ben should’ve been fired right at the start,’ Jamie told the Daily Dish.

‘He should’ve been let go within the first week or two, under two weeks of being in that season,’ he added.

Jamie and Jason wrapped up the first season on a good note, hugging it out on the finale.

‘You worked hard in bringing the team together. You were my support, and if I didn’t have your support, I’m nothing,’ Jason told Jamie.

‘I needed you, and you were there. I can’t thank you enough,’ he added.

The first season of Below Deck Down Under recently wrapped on Peacock and Hayu, and was filled with plenty of explosive drama.

Two crew members, stewardess Magda Ziomek and Chef Ryan McKeown, were fired during the season.

Meanwhile, Below Deck Mediterranean will premiere this July on streaming services.
