Multiple people are injured after yellow cab crashes into pedestrians in New York City

At least five people were injured when a yellow taxi cab crashed into diners sitting outside restaurant in New York City.

The cab was traveling southbound on Broadway when it collided with an SUV and jumped the curb, striking the diners and then crashing into the building, according to the NYPD. It happened at 1186 Broadway. 

The diners’ injuries are unknown at this time. 

The driver of the taxi cab remained at the scene.
