Diane Warren – the songwriter behind such hits as Cher’s Turn Back Time – finally received her Oscar this weekend.
She has been nominated 13 times and was happy to get the gold, making her feel like the bridesmaid who has at last become the bride.
So with that in mind, the artist dressed up as a bride in an Oscar de la Renta gown to drive home the point that she has made it.

The 66-year-old was also seen with her clothing off as she snuggled in bed with her Oscar.

The songwriter received the Honorary Oscar at the Governors Awards on Saturday.
Warren has received 13 Best Original Song nominations, and is now the first recipient of an honorary Oscar in the music branch.

Warren, the songwriter behind hits such as Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing,” who has been nominated for 13 competitive Oscars without winning.
“I’ve waited 34 years to say this — I’d like to thank the Academy,” Warren said to raucous applause.
“I’ve had a lot of speeches that got crumpled up in my pocket,” she joked.

If I Could Turn Back Time singer Cher was seen speaking on stage during the ceremony before she awarded Warren with her prize.
The hitmaker looked incredible in a bright fuchsia blazer which she wore over a short black dress and fishnet tights.
The honorary Oscars are handed out every year to recognize lifetime achievement, and were spun off into a separate event in 2009 to declutter the main show’s packed schedule.
Previous winners of Fox’s Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award — handed out by the Academy most years since 1957 — include Angelina Jolie, Oprah Winfrey and Elizabeth Taylor.
