The Block’s Scott Cam issues rare apology to Omar and Oz

The Block’s Scott Cam has issued a grovelling apology to Omar and Oz after the boys were forced to present an unfinished room on Sunday night.

The best friends were caught fuming earlier in the episode as they were told the builders couldn’t finish their shed roof due to wet weather.

‘We’re the only contestants on The Block that doesn’t have a roof on their shed at the moment,’ said Omar, clearly annoyed.

‘It does feel like we haven’t had the right end of the deal on this at all. We’re still trying to produce rooms, and it’s finally come to a stage where we’re being told “You’re not going to get the room [finished],”‘ he continued.

The boys got an apology from the foremen Keith and Dan with the pair telling the team they could get some extra painters for them.

However, it was an offer the boys felt uncomfortable with, leading them to reject it on the basis other teams would complain.

The boys were forced to present an unfinished room with tarps and water wrecking havoc on the space.

It wasn’t until the boys fronted Scott Cam at Block HQ, when they really felt the weight of the apology.

‘On a personal note, I want to apologise to Omar and Oz on behalf of The Block,’ he began.

‘What with the rain we’ve had over the last month, we were unable to finish your shed – and therefore, you were unable to finish your room. So for that, we say sorry.’

The judges were told to score the room as if it had been finished with the boys finishing in the middle of the pack.

Tom and Sarah-Jane took out first place during the room reveals.

The episode saw the judges hit by Covid with Shaynna Blaze and Neale Whittaker both unable to appear due to the virus.

Former Block winners Alisa and Lysandra were instead on-hand alongside Darren Palmer to score the teams.
